Budleigh Music Festival has revealed its 2026 programme, offering a rich celebration of four centuries of music, from early classical masterpieces through to contemporary greats and world premieres.
Highlights of the Festival include Sean Shibe, a boundary-pushing force in contemporary classical music. A multi-award-winning performer and former BBC New Generation Artist, he was chosen as an ECHO Rising Star during the 2023/24 season.
Renowned for their energetic performances and distinctive approach to 17th-century repertoire, the Bellot Ensemble will present a vibrant exploration of court music from England and France.
A special concert celebrates one of the town’s most cherished residents, the late Hilary Mantel. Staged in partnership with Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival, of which Mantel was patron, Wolf Hall in Concert features actor Anton Lesser, who portrayed Thomas More in the BBC series.
And Aardman in Concert present 50 Years of Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Friends – a cinematic and musical celebration of clay, comedy and creativity.
There are many other performances from international stars to promising young musicians at the start of their careers.
