Now an established part of the East Devon calendar. The Sidmouth Science Festival returns for ten days, celebrating science and its relevance to everyday life.
Two firm favourites are back for 2026. Super Science Saturday takes place on 10 October, bringing free, family-friendly hands-on activities and demonstrations to locations across the town. The festival closes on 18 October with the Norman Lockyer Observatory Family Day, a fitting finale for curious minds of all ages.
Alongside these, an extensive programme of talks and discussions is being developed, covering a wide range of scientific topics and exploring how science shapes the world around us. Further details will be announced closer to the festival.
Organised entirely by volunteers, the festival also runs Café Scientifique throughout the year and takes part in events with partner organisations across the region.
