Situated on the Jurassic Coast and South West Coast Path this ‘gem of a museum’ celebrates and explains the history, geology, and geography of the Otter Valley and the beautiful coastal town of Budleigh Salterton. Nationally important costume, lacemaking, and geological collections and local and family history resources. Local artists are showcased including the wonderful Joyce Dennys. Recent exhibitions include ‘Dressed to impress: uniforms from our collection’, ‘Otterton through the ages’, ‘Archaeological finds from the Lower Otter Restoration Project’, and ‘Estuary Birds by photographer David White’, ‘History of the local railway’.
