Jazz and Blues are coming to Sidmouth this June with the inaugural International Jazz & Blues Festival.
Brought to you by the team behind the Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival and other high-profile live events it aims to celebrate the return of live music through a mix of ticketed concerts with acclaimed artists and free events. The festival runs from Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June.
Tickets are already on sale for headline concerts at St Peter’s Church, and include blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter Ian Siegal, award-winning guitarist Antonio Forcione, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, direct from the famous London jazz club, the enigmatic jazz singer and pianist Joe Stilgoe and the UK Queen of Soul, Mica Paris.
You can expect to experience the best in jazz, blues, RnB, funk, soul, Latin, and contemporary music. The free live music performances will be at various locations within the town and feature established and emerging music talent from the local and regional areas.
Additional events include music workshops and masterclasses, a subsidised outdoor performance stage at Kennaway House and Blackmore Gardens with local and regional music talent, free street music at various locations within the town, and live music performances at fringe venues including hotels, restaurants, and pubs.
The organisers are open to hear from local and regional musicians who would like the opportunity and platform to perform as part of the festival.
