I have been leading walks and giving talks for the Heritage Coast Service and National Landscape ( previously known as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) for the last 33 years. During this time I have worked with individuals, small groups, schools and community groups . To enhance their love and understanding of the landscape and its wildlife.
I offer a relaxed walk, with an experienced guide who knows the area like the back of his hand. I am not interested in clocking up the miles just savouring the views and the character of the area, so I will walk at your pace.
With this in mind I have selected 8 walks which show off the beauty and nature of the area, but can happily adjust these if you have a special interest or need.
Whilst with the Heritage Coast Service I looked after many of the public paths in the coastal area so know all the best routes and the most outstanding views. Over my working life I have developed a very good knowledge of the local history so I have many tales to tell you along the way.
When not leading walks I give advice to farmers and landowners in East Devon about how to enhance the landscape and improve it for wildlife. This means I am out and about and continually discovering new places to explore.
