Kennaway House is an events venue in a Regency mansion standing in its own grounds at the heart of Sidmouth.
Kennaway House and its gardens offer an historic and beautiful setting for regular art exhibitions, craft fairs, jazz evenings, street food, educational classes, painting & meditation groups, farmers markets, plant fairs, Folk Festival food & craft and the occasional cream tea!
It has hosted talks with actor John Nettles, Lady Carnarvon from Highclere Castle, international artist Peter Brown and Picasso’s muse, Sylvette David. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for upcoming events! All through the summer months we have family friendly events outdoors and in the house.
The main Regency floor provides impressive gallery space for art and other exhibitions. With its high, graceful rooms, the House also provides a romantic wedding venue for ceremonies and receptions.
The Cellar Bar is perfect for parties of all kinds for up to 100 people. We also have meeting rooms to accommodate groups from 10 to 70, suitable for business training and conferences.
Kennaway House is a Charity. Our aim is to maintain this wonderful Grade II* listed building as a venue for the community and visitors to use. A £1 million restoration carried out in 2008-2009, saving Kennaway House for generations to come.
