Event Information

This month we are celebrating Killerton’s heritage orchards. Join the ranger team on Saturdays to press apples and learn about traditional cider-making.

Apple and cider production on the Killerton estate has left a legacy of heritage orchards. Learn how the Killerton team are managing them and planting new ones to create havens for nature and wildlife.

Ranger apple pressing demonstrations on Saturdays 4, 11, 17 & 25 October at 11am and 2pm.

Monday 6-Thursday 9 October, Follow a way-marked route to the cider press to meet the ranger team, view the 200 year old press in action and learn about Killerton’s cider making.

Daily, throughout Orchard Month; follow the red apple trail to one of the orchards to harvest apples for traditional cider making, or pick your own to take home. Please bring a bag if taking the apples home.

Normal admission fees apply.
