Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival has been a highlight in the East Devon calendar of events for 16 years. Running for five days each September and a short two day festival in March, it brings a huge variety of authors, broadcasters, commentators and poets to the sparkling town of Budleigh Salterton, as well as children’s authors, illustrators and creative workshops. We also showcase local authors to demonstrate the amazing talent of writers located in East Devon. As a charity, the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival works hard to bring authors into local primary and secondary schools to inspire a love of books.
