Sidmouth Lions Great Duck Derby 2025

SIDMOUTH LIONS GREAT DUCK DERBY – SUNDAY 20th JULY 2025
Event takes place from 2.00pm to circa 4.30pm in Sidmouth’s beautiful Byes parkland, just North of the Salcombe Road bridge.

Don’t miss Sidmouth Lions Great Duck Derby 2025. This family fun charity event comprises Duck & Spoon races from 2.15 pm, plus the Main Duck Race at 3.00pm, when hundreds of little yellow ducks are launched from the main Cycle Bridge, to race down the River Sid, to the finish line just short of the big weir.

TICKETS AT £1 per yellow duck, will be available from 10.00 am to early pm on Tuesday to Saturday from the Lions stand:
– outside The Anchor Inn (JUNE 24- 28),
– outside Coastline Mobility (JULY 1- 5)
– outside the CO-OP (JULY 8- 12 and JULY 15- 19).
– also outside LIDL store on Saturdays (JULY 5, 12 & 19).

Duck tickets can also be bought at: Paper Moon, 38 Fore Street (opposite ‘Boots’), 83 for Cards in High Street (by Sidmouth Pharmacy) and Woolbrook News..

The event is in aid of Hospiscare – Exeter, Mid & East Devon, plus Sidmouth Lions Club community and charity services. There is also a total of £900 of cash prizes to be won by the winning yellow ducks ‘owners’.
