In this new course, you will make a fresh body of work each day in response to a poem or story that I read out each morning. We will spend time over coffee discussing the reading and our personal responses to it. We can then gradually develop our own ideas for colours, spaces, textures, and atmospheres to be processed on our prepared canvases and supports in the studio afterwards, these paintings can then be developed alongside ongoing discussion with myself about the inspirations and the technical challenges that surface. This should be an enjoyable and emotionally rewarding course for people who love literature, and the visual arts.”
